Encourage

The root of the word "encourage" comes from the Latin word cor…which translates into the English word heart. When we encourage someone, we are assisting them in listening more deeply to their own heart. Healing starts with taking some time to listen and to learn what our body, mind, spirit, and soul are asking for. This may be very difficult in your current home or work environment. Let Integrative Wisdom assist you in stepping away for just an hour or two from your routine so that you can truly listen and learn from your heart what your body, your mind, your spirit and your soul need at this time in your life's journey.

Guiding

An Integrative Wisdom Wellness Plan™

The greatest benefit of Integrative Wisdom comes about when an individual takes the time and effort to learn more about their own personal journey, their unique personality style and their own view of the world. Booking a session with the emphasis on designing your own Integrative Wisdom Wellness Plan™ is the way to accomplish this. While there are many Integrative Medicine and BodyMind techniques to choose from, it is more effective when you understand how each tool benefits your specific situation. Understanding your personality type, your belief systems, and your intuitive nudges from this integrative perspective provides that "ah-ha" moment that leads to greater self-knowledge, with increased potential for change, and greater satisfaction in your daily life.

Each session starts with creating sacred space, with an invocation for guidance and the setting of your personal intention. From that point, various creative and expressive arts may be used to provide greater depth and wealth of knowledge and insight into your specific needs or wants. There is time for dialogue and conversation but there is very little look back into the past. An Integrative Wisdom Wellness Plan™ moves you forward, assisting you in establishing a strong foundation and platform from which you are then able to move confidently and passionately into the rest of your life.

During this personalized session, you will be inspired, encouraged, empowered and enlightened every step of the way. You will learn about Integrative Wisdom tools and techniques and you will determine which of these you want to incorporate into your design plan. You will end your session fully understanding how to use each tool you have selected and when. Once you have had some time to practice at home, you will have your choice of how many follow up calls you would like to book. It is suggested a minimum of two. It's also a great idea to become an active participant in the Integrative Wisdom Community with access to conference calls and special gatherings.

Consulting

I am the first to admit I am not a high powered business person or professional development trainer. I know myself way too well to ever try and pass myself off as such. However, I am very good at helping people experience moments of healing energy and a sense of peace and calm. I am very good at creating a space that invites reflection and inspiration. So, if your staff is showing signs of burnout, or even compassion fatigue, perhaps it is time for an office makeover. If team spirit is waning or if it seems everyone is on edge, Integrative Wisdom can provide a way for everyone to take a break and practice self-care.

If you are the owner of a business, especially in the service industry, you are encouraged to consult with me on ways to inspire, encourage and empower your staff. Book a meeting with me and we will discuss ways that you can use Integrative Wisdom to enhance the workplace energy. When people are happy and feeling good, they share that vibe with those they come into contact with. When they feel stressed and overburdened, whether that is caused by home stressors or workplace demands, they are less likely to do their best work. An Integrative Wisdom mini retreat or wellness day may be perfect for you and your employees to recapture your zest and passion for what you do.

Employees are the biggest investment a company has. Why not give them some TLC... or in this case some Integrative Wisdom Time? Contact me via email or phone at 1.562.505.0778.

Speaking

I can remember back in high school and even into college that I would choke when trying to speak up in class. I had so much passion and desire to share my thoughts and feelings with others but when I finally did raise my hand to speak up, every thought seemed to melt right out of my head.

Something happened to me as I grew into my true self. I learned how to set the fear aside and trust that quiet voice within. I learned that the thoughts and feelings I had were important for others to hear on their life’s journey. I realized that if I didn’t speak up, someone else might lose out on their opportunity to learn something from me that they needed to know.

Today I no longer have that fear of public speaking. I have officiated at weddings and funerals. I have spoken up at public meetings. I have led workshops and retreats and have shared my wisdom with others in a public forum. I can now say that when I am asked to speak at a special event, I have the confidence it takes to say yes to the offer and then find just the right words that are needed in that moment for that group of people.

I invite you to take a look at the list of some of the places I have been invited to speak and the topics I am passionate about. Let’s talk together and determine if I might be the perfect speaker for your next event. I’d love to make a difference for the people in your life that you care so much about. And remember, any of the topics discussed or listed on the Integrative Wisdom website can be woven into a speaking presentation. You tell me how much time I’ve got, and I will take it from there.

About the Artist: Photojournalist Susan Tripp Pollard

Susan has been a close friend of mine since I was introduced to her by my husband Bob way back when he and I first met. She has inspired me by her spirit and her vision for creating a window on the world through the lens of her camera. She has the technical savvy to create the perfect shot, but more importantly she has the heart to capture humanity at its essence. Susan encourages me to make my dream of Integrative Wisdom come true every chance she gets. I am grateful to call her friend. The photo used on the Home page is not Susan's as Susan was sharing the glorious sunset and moonrise with me in Sedona Arizona. But the photo to the right is hers...

"A team of Craniosacral Therapists from left corner, Susan Hall, Kate Mackinnon (http://www.kmackinnon.com/), Kathy Lorenz and Adrianna English each work on a specific part of Mariela Meylan's body as they assist and support Mariela's own healing during a weekly session at the Livermore VA Hospital Sunday, January 28, 2007, in Livermore, California. Meylan, an Army veteran truck driver and soldier serving in Kuwait, suffered brain trauma, a dislocated hip, lacerated spleen and liver, and a broken foot in an accident when she was hit by a vehicle after volunteering to help a fellow soldier change a flat tire. Susan says…
Being a photojournalist allows me a front row seat to explore our world and the interesting people sharing it. I love covering the wide array of events not knowing from day to day what story may unfold. From the gray whales of Baja California to the joy of a baseball game to the intensity of breaking news and the emotion of human interest stories, every day I seem to learn something new. In 1981 I earned a Bachelor's of Arts in journalism with an emphasis in photography from Cal State Long Beach followed by an internship at the Los Angeles Times. I've worked at various publications in Bay Area News Group since 1983. After working at the Times-News in Idaho I returned to my native California where I have made my home nestled near Mount Diablo with my husband and two children.

For reasons not yet identified, people continually defy medical odds. Placebos confound the most rigorous of experiments. Personal beliefs and emotional resilience or lack thereof, influence the time it takes to heal. Emotional distress, environmental frustrations, and other non-physical issues threaten the physical wellness of patients.
